Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to provide on-site and remote support for homes and small businesses. The role includes troubleshooting Windows/Mac OS, networking, printer setup, and occasional POS or outdoor TV mounting.

The position is a 1099 independent contractor with flexible hours; you decide availability and drive radius while receiving dispatched jobs matching proximity and skills.

Qualifications

Two+ years IT support or field service experience.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues.
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
Install and configure printers and scanners.
Replace or upgrade hardware components.
Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
Document work and communicate with customers.
Install and support POS systems and run cabling.
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
