Job summary

ProSidian seeks an On-Call Industrial Hygiene Technician to support construction activities at DOE-SRS in Aiken, SC. The role involves field sampling for heat strain, silica, dust, fumes, and noise, with emphasis on accurate data collection, calibration, and chain-of-custody.

You will prepare field reports for distribution to IH stakeholders and management. Experience with field sampling, lab shipments, and proficient use of Excel/Word/PowerPoint is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years On-Call Industrial Hygiene field sampling and exposure monitoring experience.
• Experience with pumps calibration, media handling, and chain-of-custody.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call IH field technician support for construction activities.
• Conduct field evaluations to identify heat strain, chemical, dust, fume, noise hazards.
• Perform personal breathing-zone sampling and area monitoring for specified contaminants.
• Prepare sampling media and maintain chain-of-custody documentation.
• Deliver media to labs and prepare field summaries and reports.
• Support follow-up monitoring when conditions change; escalate when needed.
