Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician / Facility Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at the Grand Portage Land Port of Entry in Minnesota. The role maintains HVAC and mechanical systems, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, and supports general building upkeep to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

You will troubleshoot equipment, coordinate with outside contractors when needed, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical and routine repairs within licensing and safety requirements.
• Perform general building maintenance such as doors, windows, fixtures and painting.
• Inspect roofs, gutters, drainage, and other building components for maintenance needs.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors when necessary.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and work orders.
