Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Houseperson - Events to set up and break down all meeting spaces, ensuring guest comfort and smooth operations. You will move furniture, restock supplies, and assist with event logistics in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to lift moderate weight, and a flexible schedule as event times vary. Compensation is hourly and includes overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Interact with guests in a courteous, polite and helpful manner.
• Set up / break down meeting rooms per event order requirements.
• Record details for services and supplies.
• Transport materials such as staging, tables and chairs to the banquet hall.
• Check and adjust room temperature and lights and ensure electrical hook-ups work.
• Set supplies on each table based on client details.
• Maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms.
• Replenish beverages and food items and respond to guest requests.
• Maintain organization and readiness of linen and work areas.
• Support Events Staff to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down meeting spaces per event orders and client specs.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, water and supplies for events.
• Record service details and inventory for each event.
• Ensure room temperature, lighting, and electrical connections are functional.
• Keep meeting areas clean during and after events and manage linen supplies.
• Assist events team to accommodate guest requests and last-minute changes.

The Houseperson - Events is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight, in this fast-paced position.

The rate of pay for this position is $15.35/hour. This position is eligible for overtime and service charges.

Qualifications

• Interact with guests in a courteous, polite and helpful manner
• Set up / break down meeting rooms per event order requirements.
• Record details for services and supplies
• Transport materials such as staging, tables and chairs to the banquet hall
• Check and appropriately adjust room temperature and lights and ensure that electric hook-ups are in working order
• Set supplies such as waters, pens, pads and information packs on each table, based on client details
• Maintenance of the meeting areas during and after each event such as vacuuming the floors, and removing all trash etc.
• Replenish beverages and food items as necessary and respond to any special requests from guests
• Maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms.
• Remove and drop all dirty/soiled linen at the end of your shift.
• Restock all linen shelves and organized your work area etc.
• Assist Events Staff as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
• Flexible Schedule as event start/end times may vary or event pop up may take place.
