Adoration Health in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an On-Call Hospice RN to provide after-hours, 1:1 patient care with compassion and clinical excellence.

You will collaborate with a remote triage on-call team, assess urgent symptoms, administer medications, document meticulously, and support families through difficult times, including pronouncing death when needed. This role requires weekend availability and a strong commitment to hospice philosophy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure in the state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and support families during after-hours.
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately.
• Administer medication or adjust care per hospice protocols or orders.
• Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as needed.
• Guide and support the patient and family in understanding the condition and next steps.
• Pronounce death if it occurs during on-call hours and notify the hospice team.
• Complete timely documentation and communication.
