Job summary

Everwind Hospice in Casper, WY is seeking a PRN On-Call Hospice RN to provide after-hours nursing support to patients and families. You will respond to urgent calls, perform telephonic triage, and coordinate timely visits in alignment with the hospice plan of care.

Responsibilities include managing pain and symptom control, documenting assessments, and collaborating with physicians, NPs, and pharmacies while educating families on hospice goals and expectations.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license – Wyoming.
• Minimum 1–2 years nursing experience (hospice/home health or acute care preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient/family calls during on-call hours.
• Provides telephonic triage and clinical guidance.
• Determines need for and performs urgent visits.
• Assesses condition and changes in status.
• Implements interventions for pain and symptom control.
• Documents assessments and follow-up plans.
• Coordinates with physician/NP and pharmacies.
• Educates families on symptom management and hospice goals.
