Job summary

St. Croix Hospice in Troy, Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse On-Call to join our 24/7 care team. You will provide skilled after-hours nursing visits, address urgent patient needs, and guide families through symptom management and care planning.

This role offers a 7 days on / 7 days off overnight schedule, autonomy in practice, and the opportunity to impact patients’ lives with compassion and professional care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/BSN/MSN).
• 1+ years of recent acute care; hospice or home care experience required.
• Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification.
• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management and care plan updates.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and educate patients and caregivers.
• Provide after-hours admissions and critical moment guidance.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with families and healthcare teams.
