Job summary

Hospice of Michigan, Inc. is seeking an On Call Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver professional nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with standards and guidelines. The role includes on-call responsibilities and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure compassionate end-of-life care.

The RN will perform assessments, participate in care planning, educate families, and coordinate resources while maintaining quality and compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current state nursing license in Michigan.
• 1–2 years nursing experience; hospice preferred.
• English fluency and clear communication with patients and families.
• Ability to work variable hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments and reviews patient history.
• Develops and updates the plan of care with the IDT.
• Provides end-of-life care and symptom management.
• Educates patients and families about disease and self-care.
