Job summary

MCLOUD INDEPENDENT SCH DIST 1 Central Office in McLoud, OK is accepting applications for a General Maintenance role. Immediately starting, this full-time position involves groundskeeping, field prep, site clean-up, and routine maintenance of district facilities.

Responsibilities include lawn care, snow removal, outdoor sanitation, and assisting with field marking while performing other duties as assigned in an outdoor school environment.

Qualifications

• Stand/walk 7–8 hours daily.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Outdoor work with temperature changes; exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Mows, edges, trims grass, trees and shrubs; plants grass, shrubs, and trees; waters, fertilizes, and weed control as needed.
• Assists with preparing and marking athletic fields.
• Performs periodic clean up of district sites.
• Empties trash cans and hauls off trash as needed.
• Spreads salt and removes ice and snow from walkways.
• May clean and disinfect outdoor restrooms, drinking fountains, and other outdoor facilities.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment; reports major damage to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
