Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a field service professional in Garland, TX to perform gas service duties, respond to customer requests, and ensure safe, compliant operation of meters and equipment.

The role includes installing and programming Wireless Meter Reading devices, reading meters for billing, and maintaining records while adhering to safety policies. Occasional stand-by shifts and emergency responses may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a general educational background normally attained through a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a valid driver's license.
• Ability to utilize the Company's internet/intranet site for data entry, reference and retrieval tasks.
• Requires ability to communicate with internal/external customers to provide explanations and information.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic work using clearly prescribed procedures.
• Respond to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as qualified.
• Inform customers of needed repairs and ensure customer satisfaction with work.
• Install, program and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment as necessary.
• Read meters and record usage for billing.
• Maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• May be required to hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency callouts, and extended hours.
• Identify safety and encroachment issues and report resolutions.
