Job summary

Santa Clara University is seeking an On-Call Field Supervisor to support, evaluate, and guide teacher candidates within the SCU credential program. The role involves coordinating with cooperating teachers, reviewing lesson plans, and ensuring alignment with program expectations and district calendars.

The position requires ongoing observation and documentation of candidates' professional practice, with quarterly summative assessments and feedback to promote readiness for student teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating field placements or student teaching programs.
• Knowledge of California P-12 standards and assessment practices.
• Ability to provide feedback and documentation on teacher candidates.

Responsibilities

• Meet with cooperating teachers at the start of the academic year to review expectations and procedures.
• Observe and evaluate teacher candidates monthly on lesson plans, unit design, differentiation, classroom management, and assessment.
• Provide detailed feedback and complete quarterly summative assessments for teacher candidates.
• Represent Santa Clara University in communications with cooperating teachers and maintain ongoing contact throughout the year.
• Assist in preparing and completing a Field Experience Performance Plan when necessary.
