Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to join our nationwide network. Work involves hands-on computer troubleshooting, networking support, printer configuration, and on-site IT service for residential and small business clients.

The role offers flexible scheduling, on-site pay of $35/hour, and opportunities for outdoor TV mounting. Independent contractor status (1099) applies, with no guaranteed hours and your own tools and vehicle preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or field service experience.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Own transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and deliver professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
