Job summary

Anoka County's Field Investigator (paid on-call) position is based in North St. Louis County, MN. You assist forensic pathologists by performing death scene investigations, notifying next of kin, and collecting/recording evidence to support determinations of cause and manner of death.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle available for business use.

Responsibilities

• Respond to death scenes in a timely manner and document findings.
• Perform photographs and collect scene evidence with chain of custody.
• Identify decedents, notify next of kin, and coordinate with pathologists.
• Prepare written reports with photos and sketches as needed.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies on scene.
