Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR and ability to drive in rural and city environments.
• Pass a drug screen as this is a safety-sensitive position.
• Pass a background check meeting standards for criminal history.
• Proficient in operating utility locating equipment and computer systems.
• Ability to read utility maps, blueprints and construction plans; proficient with Google Earth.
• High attention to detail when marking utilities and recording data.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with teams and clients.
• Willingness to be on-call on a rotating schedule including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using specialized equipment to pinpoint fiber lines.
• Mark locations with flags, paint, or stakes for excavation crews.
• Record data on locations, depth, and type in field systems.
• Conduct pre-construction site surveys to identify conflicts and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Communicate locations and risks with contractors, owners, and project managers.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE in all field operations.
