Job summary

ICF's Environment & Planning Division seeks On-Call (Temporary) Archaeologists based in the Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, or Northern California to assist senior archaeologists in fieldwork such as survey, testing, evaluation, data recovery, and construction monitoring.

This position requires strong field skills, the ability to identify artifacts, travel up to 10 days, and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field.
• 1+ years of field experience in archaeological monitoring and survey.
• Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior archaeologists in fieldwork including survey, testing, evaluation, data recovery, and construction monitoring.
• Laboratory analysis and report preparation may be required.
• Travel up to 10 days; work outdoors in all weather conditions.
