The Transportation Security Administration is seeking Federal Air Marshals to safeguard commercial aviation as part of the Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service. These roles demand discretion, sound judgment, physical readiness, firearms proficiency, and the ability to work independently on flights and at airports.

Location: Alturas, CA with frequent travel and 24‑hour on‑call requirements. Pay ranges from $30.00 to $60.00 per hour; appointment is full-time.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience; or a bachelor's degree or higher; or a qualifying combination of education and experience.
• Review vacancy announcements for specific qualification standards and document requirements.

Responsabilités

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorist activity, aircraft piracy, and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Carry firearms and maintain required firearms proficiency.
• Perform law enforcement, investigative, analytical, and advisory duties.
• Identify and interview witnesses or suspects when required.
