Job summary

Wisconsin Community Services Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance position responsible for general building and grounds maintenance at WCS program locations. The role requires maintaining facilities to meet agency, contractual and regulatory standards and handling repairs as needed.

Responsibilities include prioritizing repairs, managing inventory, responding to emergencies (including after hours), and ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ work experience or training in building maintenance is required.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, auto insurance and auto are required.
• Must clear a criminal and State Caregiver background check, and pre-employment health screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities to meet agency, contractual and regulatory requirements relating to facility maintenance, repair, sanitation and environmental safety.
• Identify building and/or equipment repair needs and inform program Supervisor; prioritize and perform repairs as directed.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed according to schedule.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies, including after hours on-call.
• Purchase maintenance supplies and equipment as directed; maintain an inventory of all maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
