Job summary

Global Secure 3 is seeking experienced Unarmed Event Security Guards to join our on-call flex roster in San Francisco. You will provide a visible, welcoming security presence at events, manage entry points, monitor crowds, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering exceptional guest service.

Ideal candidates have prior event security experience, a current California Guard Card, and are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Active California Guard Card (BSIS) required at time of application.
• Prior event security experience (concerts, conferences, sporting events, festivals, corporate or private events).
• Strong customer service skills with a calm, friendly, professional attitude under pressure.
• Ability to arrive on time to event assignments throughout San Francisco. All event assignments are located in the city.
• Minimum 18 years of age (required for a California Guard Card).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional, and approachable security presence throughout each event.
• Manage entry points by checking tickets, credentials, wristbands, and guest lists, and conducting bag checks according to event procedures.
• Monitor crowds, lines, and guest flow, identifying and reporting suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond quickly and calmly to incidents, including medical situations, disturbances, lost guests, and emergencies, and escalate to supervisors and emergency services as needed.
• De-escalate conflicts with courtesy and professionalism, keeping the guest experience positive whenever possible.
• Assist guests with directions, questions, and accessibility needs, acting as a helpful point of contact for the client.
• Support event setup, guest arrival, and venue clearing at the end of the event.
• Document incidents and observations accurately in activity and incident reports.
• Follow all GS3 policies, client post orders, event-specific instructions, and applicable California laws and regulations.
