Job summary

Admiral Security Services in Columbia, MD is seeking dependable on-call security officers to provide coverage for events, emergencies, and shift gaps.

The positions run April 18 through December 6, 2026, with competitive pay of $19.00 per hour and opportunities to work at multiple site locations.

Applicants must be at least 21, pass background and drug screening, hold a Maryland Security Guard Card, and have reliable transportation; prior customer service and security experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be able to multitask.

• Must have at least one year of verifiable work experience.
• Must have a valid Maryland Security Guard Card.

Responsibilities

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Enforcement of client and company policies and procedures.
• Observation and reporting of security and safety hazards.
• Routine foot patrols in and around the building.
• Reporting of incidents to the operations manager, client and other managers.
• Interaction with clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
