Restaurant Associates is seeking an on-call Catering Attendant for The MET, located at 1000 Fifth Avenue, New York. This role delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain, ensuring accurate execution of events during the shift.

Two years of catering experience are required. Schedule is on call with varying days and hours; pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.00 per hour; online applications are accepted only.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Thoroughly clean location after event is completed.
• Return food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
• Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
• Stocks, cleans and maintains catering facility and equipment.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
