Job summary

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. seeks Emergency Management Specialists to join its on-call Response Cadre. These roles deploy within 24–72 hours and may stay on site for 30 days, supporting clients nationwide on incident objectives with diverse agencies and ESFs.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher, 5+ years in emergency management, MS Office proficiency, and specialized NIMS/ICS training. These are not full-time staff positions, but offer meaningful public service opportunities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or a higher level degree.
• At least five (5) years of professional experience in emergency management or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint).
• National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials.

Responsibilities

• Willing and able to be on-call for travel within 24 to 72 hours of notice and to remain deployed for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States.
• An understanding of the emergency management system and how jurisdictions coordinate together during large‑scale incidents.
• The ability to provide summary products for leadership.
• Researching complex issues and presenting outcomes and insights to a supervisor or large audience.
• Implementing incident objectives with a diverse set of agencies and stakeholders.
• The ability able to remain calm and poised under pressure, work successfully on multiple priorities simultaneously, and remain focused when working under tight deadlines.
