Job summary

Foundation Partners Group is seeking an Embalmer to prepare deceased individuals for burial and coordinate with families on personalized funeral services. The role requires embalming, dressing, and casket preparation in line with state licensing and family requests.

The candidate will maintain documentation, support community outreach, and participate in arrangement conferences while ensuring compliance with laws and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mortuary school completed.
• State embalmer license (as per state requirements).
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of funeral industry experience preferred.
• Ability to perform decedent care/embalming per state requirements.
• Able to lift 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deceased for burial, including embalming, dressing, casket preparation, and following family instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely client files and communicate with team to improve efficiency.
• Engage with community groups and events to support market share as directed.
• Meet with families to listen, educate, and arrange personalized funeral services.
• Use systems to review merchandise options, enter contracts, and complete forms at arrangement.
• Complete tasks from the arrangement conference and ensure proper paperwork and permits are filed timely.
• Conduct funeral services and lead post-service follow-ups as needed.
