Bright Horizons is seeking a Substitute Teacher in Los Angeles to join an on-call team that covers diverse classrooms and age groups. You will support engaging activities, help maintain a safe environment, and collaborate with educators across centers to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12 sem units in Child Development including key core courses.
• 3 sem units in Early Childhood Education for Infant & Toddler.
• AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred; transcripts required at interview.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care or preschool settings preferred; knowledge of DAP required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or nearby locations.
