Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking non-medical DART Members to deploy on humanitarian responses worldwide. You will work with Program Managers and a Team Leader to implement relief activities in austere environments, often on short notice.

Roles are on-call and deployments may be to dangerous locations; responsibilities include planning, execution, and monitoring of relief efforts, with compensation and travel costs covered during deployments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years proven work experience in applicable career field(s).
• Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university or technical training in specific field is desired.
• Available on short notice for immediate 3-4-week deployment, 1-2 times/year.
• Able to serve within a very fast-paced environment, 7 days/week for extended hours while on deployment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, development, execution, and monitoring of relief work activities in austere environments.
• Work with Program Managers and a Team Leader to implement all aspects of disaster response activities.
• Develop individual humanitarian skills in areas including relief item distribution, WASH, food assistance, shelter, ministry, security, logistics, finance, and coordination.
