Job summary

Jewish Child and Family Services in the Chicago area seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for on-call shifts providing supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

On-call staff work a minimum of one shift per month and one holiday per year, with weekend availability a major plus. Pay is $20.00 per hour, with increases based on experience, and staff may work across multiple residential locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• HCWR entry as DSP or CNA.
• S-TOFHLA Passing score (Literacy test).
• Ability to transition between Rogers Park and Glencoe areas during assigned work hours.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in home and community.
• On-call staffing: minimum 1 shift per month and 1 holiday per year.
• Train in and support all residential homes within the department as needed.
• Weekend availability is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
