Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington State is seeking a Dental Assistant I to support dental providers and deliver quality patient care, including chairside assistance and patient education.

You will help with infection control, charting in Dentrix/Allscripts, and clinic operations. Starting wage is $22.34 per hour; schedule is Monday through Friday with potential edits. Sea Mar offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year experience.
• Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration required
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire
• Strong infection control and patient communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures
• Escort and greet patients
• Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality
• Assist with patient charting, vitals, and dental documentation in Dentrix/Allscripts
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
• Support scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and quality improvement activities
• Train new staff and assist with competency testing and ongoing education

This role includes chairside assistance, patient education, infection control, and supporting clinic operations.
