Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to support dental providers and deliver quality patient care. Responsibilities include chairside assistance, patient education, infection control, and supporting clinic operations at our Washington State clinics.

The role requires completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience, Washington DOH registration, and BLS CPR within 90 days. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred and benefits are competitive.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year experience.
• Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration required
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire
• Strong infection control and patient communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures.
• Escort and greet patients; ensure patient comfort and confidentiality.
• Assist with patient charting, vitals, and dental documentation in Dentrix/Allscripts.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
• Support scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and quality improvement activities.
• Train new staff and assist with competency testing and ongoing education
