Job summary

La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is seeking Substitute Custodians to maintain clean, safe facilities for students, staff, and the public. Positions include day shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and night shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) with 8-hour shifts. Hours are not guaranteed and the role is not benefits eligible.

Training includes pre-employment clearances paid by the district. Typical duties include cleaning multiple facilities, moving furniture, operating custodial equipment, and assisting with

Qualifications

• Six months custodial experience or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, offices, and restrooms to maintain a safe and attractive environment.
• Distribute supplies and assist with events as needed.
• Operate custodial equipment and report safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain security by following established procedures and locking/unlocking as required.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or meetings.
