Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registered with ARRT or be registry eligible to obtain within 1 year and licensed by NC Board of Radiologic Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions.
• Ensure operation of radiology and CT equipment.
• Maintain radiology and CT supply inventory.
• Maintain technical competency through continued education and training programs.
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and explaining procedures.
• Prepare patient for radiological/CT procedures.
• Minimize radiation exposure through proper protection techniques.
