Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a heavy equipment technician specialized in cranes to maintain and repair cranes in field conditions. The role involves on-call duties and occasional travel to customer sites, requiring safety-first practices and strong teamwork.

The technician will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, conduct OSHA inspections, and generate reports while coordinating with service and branch managers to ensure timely service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years crane experience in an industrial facility
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must always commit to working and driving safely
• Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hours services as required
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations
• Perform OSHA crane inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule and complete work daily
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely; report deficiencies to supervisor
• Work effectively in a team environment and participate in trainings and seminars as required
• Attend company training sessions and participate in the HCSG 5 Marks program
• Perform other duties as assigned
