The role requires following established menus, dietary requirements, and strict food-safety standards, with on-call shifts including weekends and holidays. Prior nursing home or healthcare kitchen experience is preferred, and adherence to sanitation policies is essential for resident care.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in healthcare or institutional food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions.

• Flexible and available for on-call shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and portion guidelines.
• Follow therapeutic and texture-modified diet requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Monitor food temperatures and complete required documentation.
• Assist with meal service and kitchen cleanup as needed.
• Follow all facility, sanitation, and infection-control policies.
