Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain within the agency timeframe.
• At least one year of food-service, kitchen-support, sanitation, or dishwashing experience preferred.
• Experience in institutional or school-based food service environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve breakfast, lunch and snacks per menus and schedules.
• Safely load, deliver, and retrieve meal carts according to the meal schedule.
• Maintain clean, organized coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
• Operate and clean the commercial dishwasher; sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Restock supplies and monitor sanitation and safety practices.
• Report equipment issues and support sanitation checklists and logs.
• Follow food-safety procedures for allergies, temperatures, and cross-contact prevention.
