A Bright Future, Inc. is hiring Community Living Instructors (CLIs) to provide direct care, instruction, and supervision for individuals with disabilities in homes and the community in California.

This on-call, part-time position emphasizes teaching essential independent living skills and promoting health, safety, and well-being. CLIs offer flexible shifts based on participant needs, with a focus on empowerment, confidence-building, and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver's License.
• Reliable personal vehicle.
• Current automobile insurance.
• Current vehicle registration.
• Drug screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Negative TB test.
• Department of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment).
• Genuine passion for caregiving and supporting individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in homes and community settings.
• Teach independent living skills such as personal hygiene, meal prep, household tasks, and daily routines.
• Support participants in developing social, communication, and self-advocacy skills.
• Assist with community activities including shopping, appointments, outings, and transportation training.
• Monitor safety, follow individual support plans, and document progress as trained.
• Complete accurate daily notes, incident reports, and progress updates; communicate with supervisors and families.
