Job summary

A Bright Future, Inc. is seeking part-time Community Living Instructors (CLIs) to support individuals with disabilities in Oakland and Berkeley.

The role focuses on teaching independent living skills, daily routines, and community integration, with direct care, instruction, and supervision in homes and community settings. Responsibilities include one-on-one support, personal care, meal prep, and coordination of appointments and activities, while promoting independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Drug screening required
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Negative TB test
• DOJ fingerprint clearance prior to employment
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one support in home and community settings
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support community integration, appointments, errands, and recreational activities
• Encourage independence, communication, and social development
• Monitor safety and follow individualized support plans
• Complete daily documentation and communicate with supervisors as needed
