Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our team in the NYC area. This on-call role involves assisting in hands-on activities, communicating with parents, and maintaining a safe classroom across centers and age groups.

Travel to listed locations is expected, with opportunities for full-time positions where available. Candidates should be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and meet background checks; relelvant CDA/degree in early education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in early education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
• Provide support across centers and age groups where teaching coverage is needed
