Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking an on-call chaplain to provide overnight and weekend support at Southdale Hospital and Ridges Hospital. The chaplain will integrate spiritual care into patient-centered care, assess needs, and consult with patients and families within the SHS team.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, ethical practice, and the ability to respond to emergent spiritual and emotional needs in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Theology or completion within 1 year of hire.
• One ACPE-accredited CPE unit completed.
• 1 year experience in a ministry or supportive role.
• Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.
• Ability to work weekend on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight and weekend on-call chaplain support at hospitals.
• Assess spiritual care needs and provide direct spiritual care to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Demonstrate ethical principles in clinical and professional settings.
