Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Chaplain to provide compassionate pastoral/spiritual care for patients and families in a 24/7 hospital setting. The role emphasizes interfaith sensitivity, on-call coverage, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities include administering sacraments, leading worship services, and coordinating with chaplains and staff to support emotional and spiritual needs of diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or related field.
• 1+ year clinical or pastoral experience with inter-faith, inter-religious and/or non-denominational backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral/spiritual care to patients and families across diverse traditions.
• Administer sacraments as needed for patients of various ages.
• Conduct formal worship services open to patients, families, staff, physicians and students.
• Provide on-call coverage as part of rotation with other chaplains.
• Collaborate with chaplains and hospital staff to coordinate care and programs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethics and hospital policies.
