Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Greenville, SC is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician. Under general supervision, you will inspect, clean, assemble, test, and process patient care equipment following policies, procedures and manufacturer instructions for use.

You will maintain sterility, manage instrument tracking and inventory, apply infection control practices, and support the OR with aseptic technique. A High School diploma or GED and a CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification is preferred or required by some facilities.
• Recent experience in a surgical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment.
• Maintains inventory, rotates stock, and ensures proper labeling and storage.
• Performs quality control and instrument tracking in applicable systems.
• Operates and maintains sterilizers and related equipment; follows aseptic protocols.
• Documents all activities and reports variances affecting sterile products or patient care.
