Job summary

City and County of Denver’s Parks and Recreation Department seeks Certified Personal Trainers to inspire residents through one-on-one and small-group fitness programming at multiple recreation centers across Denver.

This on-call, part-time role requires current nationally recognized trainer certification and CPR/First Aid, with opportunities to help clients set goals, track progress, and stay safe during workouts.

Qualifications

• Certification as a nationally recognized fitness instructor.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to conduct movement assessments and design safe progressions.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized and small-group programming.
• Conduct movement assessments and track client progress.
• Provide safe demonstrations, cues, and modifications for all fitness levels.
• Deliver excellent customer service and address participant questions.
• Maintain training spaces and equipment and log bookings.
• Uphold departmental standards and report incidents as needed.
