American Humane’s No Animals Were Harmed program offers multiple On-Call opportunities with training. Candidates should have a DVM, RVT/LVT/CVT license, or B.S. in Animal Science or related field. The role involves representing the program on film and media sets, ensuring humane treatment of animals, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Job Summary: Represent American Humane’s No Animals Were Harmed program on media productions, ensuring animal safety and documenting care and treatment procedures.

Responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring animal action during filming
2. Writing detailed reports for safety and certification purposes
3. Communicating effectively with production staff and authorities
4. Traveling locally and internationally as needed
5. Researching species-specific requirements and safety precautions

Qualifications:

• Veterinary or animal science qualifications (DVM, RVT/LVT/CVT, or B.S.)
• Experience in animal health, behavior, and welfare
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Completion of American Humane’s CASR training course is required

Physical and environmental requirements: Outdoor work in varied weather, long hours, travel, and physical activity including lifting and standing for extended periods. Valid driver’s license and transportation are required.
