Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools is seeking an on-call certificated substitute to support teaching across grades and subjects in Vancouver, Washington. The role requires a valid Washington State Certificate or Permit and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

  • A substitute teacher is responsible for enabling each student to pursue his education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his regular teacher.
  • A substitute teacher shall be a person fully qualified to instruct in our schools in the absence of the regular teacher.

  • Completes evaluation at the end of the day, checks out with authorized personnel prior to leaving at the end of the day.

Job Description

Working in an on call basis as a certificated teaching substitute for the Evergreen School District in all grade levels and in all subjects.

Substitute employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, substitutes may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
