Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring an on-call Cashier/Food Service Worker at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. The role supports patient and visitor dining, handles cash via POS, and assists the chef with coffee and meal preparation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous food service and cash handling experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Point of Sale system and assists the Chef.
• Prepares coffee and keeps coffee and cashier stations clean.
• Helps prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts; assists with catering orders.
• Performs cashier duties using the POS system with cash accuracy.
• Performs general cleaning duties and removes trash.
• Provides service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Makes deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and food products.
• Sets up serving line and ensures proper food temperatures are taken and within range; notifies cooks if not.
• Serves hot and cold items to customers.
• Sets up items for purchase on a daily basis.
• Keeps refrigerator stocked and rotates products using FIFO; records temperatures daily.
• Stocks pantries with correct par levels and records on floor stock forms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
