Compass Healthcare is seeking a Cashier / Food Service Worker to operate the point-of-sale system and perform cashier duties at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. Candidates must have at least 1 year of food service and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale system and perform cashier duties accurately.
• Prepare coffee and keep coffee and cashier stations clean.
• Assist the chef in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, and catering orders.
• Set up serving lines and ensure temperatures are recorded within acceptable ranges.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Restock supplies and food products using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Keep refrigerators stocked and record refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain organized storage areas.
• Make deposits at the end of each shift and maintain cash accuracy with receipts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Cashier / Food Service Worker (On Call)

Located at Providence Alaska Medical Center, 3200 Providence Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508. Online applications only. Schedule is on‑call; days and hours may vary, subject to change.

• Minimum 1 year of food service and cash handling experience required.
• Pay range: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Operate the point‑of‑sale system and perform cashier duties accurately.
• Prepare coffee and keep coffee and cashier stations clean.
• Assist the chef in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, and catering orders.
• Set up serving lines, ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded, and within acceptable ranges; notify cooks if temperatures are out of range.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers, including line serving and cashiering in all retail areas.
• Restock supplies and food products, maintaining proper par levels and using the first‑in, first‑out rule.
• Keep refrigerators stocked and record refrigerator temperatures on the floor stock form daily.
• Perform general cleaning duties, remove trash and garbage to designated areas, and keep pantries and storage areas organized.
• Make deposits at the end of each shift and maintain cash accuracy with receipts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
