Job summary

Cascade AIDS Project’s Our House facility in Portland seeks an On-Call Caregiver to deliver direct resident care and environmental support on an as-needed basis, working with the Licensed Nurse to assist with ADLs and mobility for residents living with HIV.

You will maintain accurate records, promote dignity and independence, attend staff meetings, and help keep the facility clean. DHS background check and required certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience providing home care/caregiving or satisfactory completion of onsite training.
• First Aid, CPR and Food handler's certification within first 30 days of hire.
• Pass DHS background check.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for resident ADL's as directed by the service plan and Licensed nurse on duty
• Maintains accurate records of ADL's provided or omitted in each resident’s electronic record.
• Provides direct resident care while promoting the resident’s dignity, independence, and choice.
• Attends all staff meetings and in-services. All staff must complete 12 in-service hours per year.
• Maintains a neat, clean facility, including common living spaces as well as individual resident areas.
• Interacts with residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors in ways that reflect the values of the Our House workplace mission statement.
