Job summary

On-Call Campus Safety Officer at the Tribal School, Department of Human Services, serves in collaboration with staff, students, and community to maintain a safe learning environment in Toppenish, Washington. The role advises administrators and mentors students and faculty on safety matters.

Responsibilities include supervising campuses, enforcing disciplinary plans, assisting with events, investigating incidents, and providing staff training while coordinating with tribal and local law

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or any combination of related courses, training and experience that provides the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise campuses and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
• Enforce school disciplinary plans.
• Assist and supervise activities outside of normal school days, such as dances and sports events.
• Investigate and deter criminal conduct.
• Provide staff training and participate in safety plan implementation.
• Collaborate with Yakama Nation Tribal Police and local law enforcement.
• Be a confidential counseling source for students.
