Job summary

Serrato Corporation is seeking an on-call security officer to assist with planning, developing, implementing, overseeing, and integrating safety and security programs on an as-needed basis. Shifts vary due to the center's 24/7 operation, with duties including patrols, reporting, and staff coordination.

The role supports visitors, staff, cadets, and staff with safety protocols, investigations, and emergency responses while ensuring compliance with laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with email, internet, and Acrobat.
• Knowledge of basic security procedures and operations.
• Experience operating security and surveillance equipment.
• Good judgement and strong observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute and/or call-in security officer services.
• Conduct foot patrols and monitor for disturbances, hazards, or safety issues.
• Assist visitors, staff, and student employees as needed.
• Perform building security and safety checks and prepare reports.
• Coordinate recruiting, selection, and training of security cadets.
• Participate in safety and fire prevention program enforcement.
• Conduct daily briefings with cadets and provide written/oral reports.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and conduct vehicle checks.
