Job summary

Essenseof Australia in Lenexa, KS is seeking an experienced sewist to work on an hourly on-call/independent vendor basis at our headquarters. Must be available with short notice (1-3 days) to perform bridal gown alterations and repairs.

You will handle tasks such as replacing hangers and train loops, sewing on buttons, adjusting boning and bust cups, lace placement, and stain removal, all while upholding precise, high-quality standards and quick turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Experience with bridal gown alterations and repairs.
• Attention to detail with high-quality standards.
• Ability to work quickly with short notice and tight turnarounds.

Responsibilities

• Replace hanger and train loops.
• Sew on and replace buttons.
• Tack seams and invisible stitches accurately.
• Replace or adjust boning and bust cups.
• Adjust lace motifs and lace placement.
• Remove stains, dirt, or water marks from fabrics.
