Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring On-Call Behavioral Health Technicians to support clients in our Subacute Recovery Services programs: the KMHS Residential Treatment Center and the Pacific Hope and Recovery Center.

These roles involve assisting clients with daily routines, providing emotional support, monitoring behaviors, and facilitating therapeutic activities to create a safe, recovery-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: Entry level (no prior related work experience).
• Valid Washington Food Handler card. (can be obtained after hire)
• LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (can be obtained after hire)
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of related experience; experience with clients with severe mental illness; ability to work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Take measures to meet clients' daily health and safety needs, including meals, safety checks, observation, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Complete all required charting and documentation for clients per KMHS policies.
• Participate in clinical activities: facilitate groups, observe and assess mental status, record nutrition, sleep, and vitals, run treatment groups, take referrals, follow behavioral protocols.
• Complete paperwork related to admission/discharge, confidentiality, client rights, inventories, and tracking sheets.
• Attend mandatory trainings and keep required documentation up to date.
