Lead Behavioral Health Specialist
Location: Big Bend, Texas (Marfa)
Starting Salary: $60/hour (1099)

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose), is seeking an On-Call Lead Behavioral Health Specialist in Big Bend, Texas, to support children in DHS care along the U.S. Southwest Border.

About the Role:

As the On-Call Lead Behavioral Health Specialist, you will work alongside fellow Lead Behavioral Health Specialists to provide trauma-informed care, professional guidance, and programmatic support to ensure the well-being of children in DHS care. You will serve as the primary point of contact for CBP leadership, manage a team of Child Well-Being Specialists, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance child protection services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and professional guidance to Child Well-Being Specialists.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CBP leadership, DHS headquarters, and program teams.
  • Coordinate staffing allocation and surge deployment as necessary.
  • Engage with local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate care coordination.
  • Oversee training, performance reviews, and program evaluations.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives and policy development.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in behavioral health.
  • Full, current, and unrestricted license in one of the following:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • 5+ years post-licensure experience in child development, trauma-informed care, and clinical evaluations.
  • 2+ years of management experience supervising staff in a healthcare or social services setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred (minimum ILR 3/5 or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving program needs.
