Job summary

Hilton Columbus Polaris is seeking an On Call Banquet Server to set up banquet rooms and serve food and beverages in a friendly, professional manner aligned with Crescent standards. The role requires an upbeat, guest-focused approach and adherence to Hilton service guidelines.

Candidates should be able to work as part of a team, maintain a professional appearance, and handle basic food/beverage knowledge and equipment. This is an on-call, on-site position with Crescent benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Able to work well with guests and be a team player.
• Knowledge of table settings and silverware and basic food/beverage know-how.
• Ability to transport up to 40 lbs and operate beverage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor, including linen, silverware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages according to Supervisor's directions and standard.
• Replenish beverages as needed and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room after events and prepare for next function.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
